Appearance

Personality

When Hakkabou is having writers block, he visits Tenjin-ya in a way similiar to how a priest might visit a shrine. He shuts himself inside his room and writes.[1]

History

Hakkabou has been a frequent guest to Tenjin-ya for a long time. In fact, Odanna was the model for the protagonist of Hakkabou's first written work.[2]

Trivia

  • Hakkabou (薄荷坊) is written with hakka (薄荷), meaning mint (as in peppermint) and bou (坊), which has a traditional meaning of priest/monk but in modern times tends to mean boy. As the Hidden Realm seems to progress more slowly than the Apparent Realm, the meaning may likely be priest/monk.
